February Check In

Before I get to my progress this past month, I'm going to answer the topic question.

How many projects do you generally feel comfortable having in progress at a time?  Tell us about your one-at-a-time or rotation habits!

When I first started stitching many moons ago I was a one at a time stitcher.  I worked on that single project until I was sick of it but it at least got finished.  As time has gone one I've started working on more than one project at a time.  I think the most I've ever had going at one time, and I mean with actual stitches in them, is twelve.

Currently, I have eight with stitches in and another eight kitted but sitting ever so quietly and patiently to receive their first stitch.  I have a rotation set up allowing two weeks to stitch on Mishra (HAED) and then a week to stitch on anything else that I have in my possession.  This seems to be working well so far but I'm starting to see that I'm stitching more than my two weeks on Mishra if the stitching is going well.  When I hit a confetti spot in the pattern and my two weeks are up, I need a break.

Now on to my progress.
Spooky House (Stoney Creek)

And this month it is FINISHED!!!  It was stitched on Silkweaver 18ct Aida Abracadabra with 2 strands of black silk over 1.

Give Thanks (Plum Street Samplers)

September Sapphire Fairy (Mirabilia)

Finally we have Mishra:
Progress last month:
And the progress this month with almost 3 pages completed:

I have a couple of other finishes as well.  I might have finished them at the end of 2013 or in the beginning of 2014 but never posted the progress.

First is the Halloween Season of the Witches.  This was stitched on 32ct Lugana PTP Flapper with 2 strands over 2.

Finally I have my Halloween Parade, stitched twice to account for the variation in saying and will eventually be turned into a pillow for Halloween.  This was stitched on 32ct OD Linen in Barnwood with 2 strands over 2.

Happy Stitching everyone!
