WIPocalypse March 2012

Ahhhh, the sweet feeling of progress!!!!!  I focused almost all of my time on the Donna Kooler All Creatures Great and Small sampler.  I need to get this finished in the next week to week and a half so I can have it professionally framed and ready for the fundraiser on April 22nd.  I hope that someone in the silent auction loves the piece as much as I have loved working on it.

Here is what it looked like from the last update:

I did all the back stitching on everything below the row of cats.  I also backstitched a couple of the cats but am missing a color to finish the second and fourth cat.  I know I should go and get it but I'm sure I'm going to run out of at least one other color so I figured I'd just make a note of where I need to finish some stitches and keep on going.  I then started stitching on the top half of the design and ended up here.

I did work a little on the monogram but not much.  Here is how it started:
And here is where I put it down to concentrate on the sampler:
I know, I know...you can hardly see any progress.  This is a quick stitch and as soon as I get the sampler done and off to the framers I will be able to focus on this and several other projects.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stitching!!!!

Your sampler is wonderful! I am sure that it will bring a huge addition to the fund raiser. It is really terrific that you are putting that much time, money and energy in this piece for charity.

I tried to reply to your comment on http://mothercronemaiden.blogspot.com

but blogger will not let me! Yes, the crone and I (the maiden) do live in Las Vegas! if you are looking for a stitching group many meet at Stitchers Paradise (off of Sahara) every wednesday, ask for julie she is really sweet! I cannot go, work really gets in the way!

I would suggest the stitchers retreat on April 14th (maybe 15th?) Stitchers Paradise has all the information (Gina is the owner) and I will be there. It is a blast, a full day of stitching, and the turn out os great! The Maiden
